We are slowly getting back to normal, albeit a cleaner and more hygienic normal. The kids have been great settling into slightly different routines. They are pretty resilient.
At the Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday night they discussed their experiences of the lockdown. It would appear that we have come through this in pretty good shape. The relationships between the teachers and the families have definitely been strengthened.
The Board also recognised the work put in by the staff, not only in providing the work and checking in on the kids but also in the steep learning curve to get their heads around online learning.
The Board has granted the staff an additional professional development day related to personal and professional wellbeing. This will mean the school will be closed on Friday 29 May. We are hopeful that this day does not cause any additional inconvenience to you.
