Cooking Around the World!

This term we have been using visual recipes to make baked items from around the world. We have made Cook Island Donuts, Beaver Tails (flat donut with asorted toppings), Victoria Sponges, Takakau (Maori fried bread), Rose Coconut Laddu (coconut balls), Kadorei Shokolvd (chocolate balls), Naan Bread, Kasha (coconut candy), Khajur Burfi (Indian sweet) and Num Tirk Doung (coconut cake). We are enjoying a book titled “What’s for Lunch,” by Andrea Curtis and looking at the different foods children have for lunch around the world.
