Actor Maxwell Apse, was our Role Model at our Duffy Book Assembly.
Maxwell Apse is a young actor and writer from Wellington. After achieving a scholarship in drama, Max worked on a number of different productions, including writing and directing his own short film series. In his downtime, Max loves to play, and write music with his friends, and has been a part of many different bands.
In 2014, Max played ‘Duffy’ in Duffy Theatre Show ‘Duffy: King of Books’, and not only was that the longest running show he’s been a part of, it was also his favourite.
In 2015 he secured his first TV role appearing on ‘Shortland Street’ as the character Edwin Daley. Max always loved reading when he was younger. He devoured the ‘Captain Underpants’ books, he adored the ‘Harry Potter’ series, but his favourite book was always ’The Great Big Block of Chocolate.’
