Things have been pretty busy in Room 9 so far this term – we can’t believe it’s already week 5! We’ve been keeping up with our reading, writing and maths, along with continuing our native bird studies with a technology focus this term (watch this space for innovative designs that will hopefully attract more native birdlife to our school). And to top it all off, we’ve been learning how to swim and stay safe in the water!
Here are a few highlights so far . . .
To better understand the properties of 3D shapes, we made them out of dough. Then we counted the faces, edges and vertices and were able to cut them in half to study the cross sections.
