Victoria’s class

Welcome back as we embark on yet another busy term. We have already been to see the play Hinepau which created a good hook for our topic about Gavin Bishop. Following on from this we will look at other stories written by him and try our hand at printmaking and weaving.

Parent teacher interviews are well under way and it has been great meeting some of you and talking through your child’s progress and next learning steps.

Here’s to another great term.

Nga mihi,

Welcome back to Room 15 in Term 2

I hope everyone had a restful 2 weeks and the students are looking forward to another term.

We had a very busy 11 weeks last term and the highlight for our Year 6s was Urban Safari in the last week. The group had lots of fun doing activities from roller blading to visiting Somes Island. The Year 5s (and rest of the school) were lucky to receive new jackets in time for winter that were presented by 3 of the Warriors players!

Please pop in to see some of the art work on display and ask your child to share with you some of the work we have been doing.

I look forward to another fantastic term,

Welcome to Room 15 in 2016!

I am really excited to be working with the Year 5s and 6s as we continue our Avalon journey. There will be so much on offer this year from Urban Safari (Year 6s) to sports events and cultural groups. I hope your child makes the most of these fantastic experiences when they take place.

We have spent this week getting to know each other and are now starting to prepare for our group and class work. We hope to be adding photos and posts regularly so keep tuned in to see what we have been doing!

My door is always open should you want to chat regarding your child or pop in to check out what we have been up to.

I look forward to another fantastic year.
